What We Believe

God 

We believe in one God eternally existing as three distinct persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, each of whom is fully God, yet there is one God. 
(Ephesians 4:4-6; 1 Corinthians 8:6; 1 Peter 1:2; 2 Corinthians 13:14)

Creation and Sovereignty 

 We believe that God created the universe from nothing and governs all things at all times in all places.  
(Genesis 1; John 1:1-3; Colossians 1:15-17; Hebrews 1:1-3)

Revelation 

We believe God has made Himself known to the world through His creation, His Son, Jesus Christ, and His Word, the Bible. 
(Psalm 19:1-4; Romans 1:19-20; Hebrews 1:1-3)

The Bible 

We believe the Bible (the 66 books of the Old and New Testaments) is the inspired Word of God and is therefore inerrant in the original writings, the complete revelation of God's will, and the absolute authority for Christian faith and life. 
(2 Timothy 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:19-21; Matthew 4:4; Luke 17:17; Proverbs 30:5)

Jesus Christ 

We believe that Jesus Christ, being eternally and fully God, became man conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of a virgin. He died on the cross to atone for our sins, arose bodily from the dead and ascended into heaven to prepare a place for us and to be our High Priest and Advocate. 
(John 1:1, 14; Philippians 2:5-8; Colossians 1:15-20; Hebrews 4:14-16)

Humanity 

We believe that all humanity is created in the image of God and possesses inherent dignity and worth.  
(Genesis 1:26-27)

Sin 

We believe that all have sinned bringing both physical and spiritual death and leaving the world in desperate need of salvation.  
(Romans 3:10-18, 23; Romans 5:12, 17-19; Ephesians 2:1-3)

Salvation 

We believe that salvation is by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone. (Ephesians 3:4-9; Romans 3:24-26; Romans 10:9-10, 13 John 1:12; 5:24)

Church 

We believe that the Church is composed of all who through saving faith have become God's children sent into the world to reflect God's glory and carry on the mission of Jesus.  
(Ephesians 2:13, 19-22; 1 Corinthians 12:12-13, 27; Matthew 28:19-20; Acts 1:8)

Christ's Return 

We believe that Jesus Christ is returning to the earth in the future to judge the living and the dead.  (Matthew 24:27-31; John 14:1-3; Acts 1:11; 1 Thessalonians 4:14-17)

Elder Led

We are an elder led church.  Our elders serve by leading the church and faithfully shepherding God's people put within their care. 
( Acts 20:28,  1 Peter 5:1-3,  Hebrews 13:17,  1 Tim. 3:1-7, Titus 1:5-9)
